BEVAC / Beekeeping Value Chain support

The Beekeeping Value Chain Support (BEVAC) project, which is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel) and the International Trade Centre (ITC), has made a noteworthy contribution to enhancing market access for the Tanzanian beekeeping sector.

BEVAC aims to improve the beekeeping value chain in Tanzania through enhanced quality production, value addition of bee products, strengthened trade, and greater access to local, regional, and international markets

The BEVAC project plays a crucial role in supporting and empowering the participating companies. Through its technical expertise and resources, it equips them with the necessary tools to enhance their market access and expand their reach both locally and internationally. By leveraging relevant platforms, the project facilitates direct engagement between beekeepers, traders, and potential buyers, fostering connections and opening doors to new business opportunities.

The BEVAC project has made a significant impact on the market access and visibility of Tanzania’s beekeeping sector. Through the collaborative effort forged so far, the project, along with the European Union, Enabel, and the ITC, continues to support the Tanzanian beekeeping sector in realizing its full potential and establishing itself as a key player in the global market.
